OPEC Interview (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries)

TS.  What stands out the most about the forming of OPEC for you?

        A.  They want control over the oil industry.

TS.  What were you doing at the time you found out that OPEC was formed?

        A.  I was in the army out in Stockton, CA.

TS.  How did this impact you and your family?

        A.  At that time, it didn't.  But now, it does because they have such power.

TS.  How do you think OPEC has affected today's society?

        A.  They steal people's money because they are causing higher prices.

TS.  Why do you think this event will be remembered for decades?

        A.  Because there is no such thing as cheap gas or oil anymore.

TS.  What is you opinion on OPEC?

        A.  It hurts most normal people because it excessively raises the cost of fuel.

TS.  Did your parent's opinion differ from yours?

        A.  They didn't know what OPEC would do to us.  So they didn't really care.

TS.  In your opinion, was OPEC good or bad for America overall?

        A.  Bad, all bad.
